CVHS Sports News 4/14/2026

Good Morning,

Here are yesterday’s results:

Boys Tennis

Central Valley 7, Lathrop 2

The Hawks continued their undefeated, dominant run through the WAC with a 7-2 win over the Lathrop Spartans.  CV wins came from Wins from Silas Rodriguez, Osvaldo Cisneros, Alex Aguilar, Jaylan Tagadaya, Joshua Rubio/Abram Munguia, Gurtaj Saran/Andrew Arevalo, and Simar Malhi/Sahib Patter.  Last night’s victory was a special one as it clinched CV’s first ever Boys Tennis league title!  Congrats to our Boys Tennis team on winning the WAC Championship!  There is still plenty of tennis left to play as the Hawks have a match with Livingston, the WAC tournament, and the CIF playoffs.  Good luck to our Hawks as they continue their magical season.

Baseball

Central Valley 11, Tokay 1

After going 1-3 in an extremely challenging Spring Break tournament in Santa Ana, the Hawks bounced back in a big way with a convincing win over the Tokay Tigers by the score of 11-1.  CV was led by Tyson Hunt: 5 IP, 1 ER, 2 Ks, Win, Isaias Valdovinos: 2-2, 2 RBIs, BB, R and Fernando Dominguez: 1-2, 2B, BB, 2 R.  The Hawks are now 14-7 overall, 8-0 in WAC (1st place) and are currently ranked #8 in the SJS DI polls.  CV will look to keep their WAC winning streak alive today when they travel to Lathrop to take on the Spartans.  The Hawks have 7 games remaining in the regular season as they prepare for a playoff run.

Stunt Cheer

Central Valley 23, Pacheco 1

The Hawks kept their hot streak alive with another dominating WAC victory last night on the cheer mats.  CV is now 8-0 in the WAC (1st place) as they continue to defend last season’s league title.  With just 4 regular season games remaining, CV controls their own destiny as they look to repeat was league champions.  The Hawks will be back in action this Thursday when they host the league games and play at 6:00pm vs. Pacheco and 8:00pm vs. Ceres High.

Boys Volleyball

Varsity: Ceres 3, Central Valley 0

The Hawks dropped their league match last night to the Ceres Bulldogs in straight sets.  All the sets were close, but CV couldn’t get over the hump.  The Hawks will be back in action tomorrow night when they host the Grace Davis Spartans.
